Hosting website

Janani asked:

Web hosting directories are marketplaces where products, plans, technical specifications, and prices are detailed of web hosting companies. Customers may appraise various web hosting company offerings and contrast the information to their own explicit hosting requirements, in order to choose the most suitable plan for their purposes. A good directory will focus on diversity, as well as quality.

A comprehensive web hosting directory will provide a platform where clients may resolve vendor stability, cost, performance and security. One imperative feature of web hosting directories is rankings, which can be a priceless tool to any forthcoming web hosting company consumer in determining which web hosting company to patronize. Web hosting directory includes: Tools to locate and research all kinds of web hosting, dedicated servers and collocation; along with web hosting news, information, constructive articles, and interviews.

The Website Hosting Directory also features daily deleted and expiring domain names in addition to the customary website hosting directory resources. HostSearch.com offers a directory of web hosting providers and their services with an advanced search tool, reviews, hosting news, informative articles, interviews, and its “Host Lab” tool and cheap web hosting directory features daily expiring domain names, deleted domain lists weekly with traffic, page rank, Alexa traffic and other links. Also offers Google Web Hosting and website hosting updates, interview archives, and links to articles, forums, free list sources, other hosting directories and web designer tailored information.

Good web hosting directory should provide admittance to information from the professionals who have been in the business for many years, and are in a position to provide meaningful insight into web hosting that can hoard a beginner a lot of time and money in the long run. It seems that if a directory’s sole purpose is to generate revenue as though web hosting company rankings can be easily manipulated. However, one way to determine the validity of web host rankings may be to establish if they are based upon customer voting and have provided their remarks with a website address to verify statements made.

Rankings on web hosting directories may be very useful in comparing web hosting companies. The important thing is to comprehend that the information provided is only going to reflect what has been provided to a particular source. That is to say, there is no way that each and every customer’s experience will be reflected in a given ranking. Consequently, it may also be sensible to check other resources, for getting a more comprehensive view and make the most intelligent choice possible.

Web Hosting FAQs

Where Is Your Heart?

Mathew Tamin asked:

One of our biggest obstacles in determining the will of God can be our motives. We all sometimes want to do things for our hedonistic gratification. Instead of us putting the benefit of others before ourselves, we do opposite. We ask questions like, what reward am I going to get from this? How much are they willing to pay me? Etc. Instead we should be asking; How is this going to benefit someone else? What can I do to make someone else’s dream come true? When you make something happen for someone else, God is going to double your reward. The word of God tells us to, “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38).Below are several ways to check your motives. As you read the checklist, as the precious Holy Spirit to convict you of anything that you need to change.

Motive check number 1

Why are you doing this?We live in a society that everyone wants the recognition for being a “good” person. So many celebrities want newspapers, host news conferences, and other selfish things to let everyone know about the charitable thing they just did. Even though it’s a good thing to help other people, we shouldn’t do it for recognition or man’s applause. There are many positions (especially in the church) that people want to obtain just to get recognition. Their hearts get filled with pride because of their title. The truth of the matter is that titles, positions, accolades, and all those things will never direct you where God’s will for your life is.

Motive check number 2

Who is this benefiting? As disciples of Jesus Christ, we need to have the heart of our Master. When the word got out about the miracles that Jesus Christ was doing, multitudes followed him. I love the fact that He was always “compassionate” towards those people. We too, as believers need to model of that “compassionate” spirit. He cared more about the wellbeing of the multitude than he did himself. One of the most important things a person will leave behind is their legacy. Your legacy will outlast your name. That’s why it’s so important to leave a legacy that will optimistically influence the lives of people for generations to come. When you leave a positive legacy, people may not remember your name but they will always remember what you did; even after you are gone. There is no amount of money that can buy your legacy. Even though you are not suppose to live your life just to please others, the life you live, whether you like it or not will be evaluated by man and judged by God.

Motive check number 3

Are you happy? When your motives are not pure, you will tend to become unhappy. Many people forget to realize that impure motive can bring unhappiness. This is because you would rather be doing something else rather than what you are doing. Because of this, some people become bitter, frustrated, angry, and mad at the world. It’s always good to be concern about the well being of others, but that doesn’t mean that you should live a miserable life. Life is too short to always be unhappy.

Motive check number 4

Are you comfortable? The moment you accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior, you give him the permission over your life. That means that whenever you are not doing something right, he have the right to correct you. Sadly, many people don’t always listen to that voice. We maliciously ignore the still small voice inside of us. When you allow God to be the ruler over your life, he will make you feel uncomfortable when you are doing something that you should not be doing. However, when you ignore that voice, you become your own god. Then when things get worse, you blame God and other people, when all you had to do was to obey that voice.

Motive check number 5

Regret and shameSatan is always at work in our lives trying to destroy us. When you have an impure motive, after all is said and done, not only will you regret it, but it will also bring shame. We see a primary example of this in the life of Judas when he sold Christ for 30 pieces of silver. He was convicted because he knew that what he did wrong. As a result of his regret and shame, he hung himself.Shame and regret can make you do things you never thought about doing. It can bring your self-esteem so low that you commit suicide or ponder about committing suicide. If you feel convicted about any of the five motive checks, don’t be discouraged, there is hope. As long as you are alive, you can always get help from the precious Holy Spirit. There was a song I learned many years ago, and the lyrics to that song have always ministered to me; it goes, “change me, into your image Lord, into your likeness Lord, change me. I want to be like you, be like you, oh Lord, change me.”We sometimes blame everything on the devil, even things that he is ignorant about. However, some of the things we do sometimes is our own fault.

Even though the enemy can influence your motives in some ways, the bottom line is, he will control as much of you as you allow him.Let me pray with you:”Dear Lord Jesus, change me, into your image, into your like, change me. I want to be like you, oh Lord, change me. Give me your heart. Search me oh God, and know my heart, remove from me, any evil thing. I surrender my motives to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Various Types of Web Hosting – Understanding Web Hosting

allenbarber asked:

Choosing Web hosting type can get somewhat confusing if you are not aware of the possible and popular web hosting types available in the market. I have tried to compile a list of possible web hosting types giving brief features of each type. After reading this article you should(hopefully ;) ) be in position to differentiate between all hosting types.

Free web hosting

Free web hosting is offered by different companies with limited services, sometimes advertisement-supported web hosting, and is often limited when compared to paid hosting. A free web hosting service is a web hosting service that is free, usually advertisement-supported. Free web hosts will usually provide a subdomain (yoursite.example.com) or a directory (www.example.com/~yourname). In contrast, paid web hosts will usually provide a second-level domain along with the hosting (www.yourname.com). Many free hosts do allow use of separately-purchased domains. The majority of the hosting companies use free hosting to introduce their services, and as an entry point to their more expensive offerings. Generally they recoup their cost by Advertising, Referrals etc

Shared web hosting

In Shared web hosting, as name suggests, your web site is placed on the same server as many other sites, ranging from a few to hundreds or thousands. Typically, all domains may share a common pool of server resources, such as RAM and the CPU. The features available with this type of service can be quite extensive. A shared web hosting service or virtual hosting service or derive host refers to a web hosting service where many websites reside on same web server connected to the Internet. Each site “resides” on its own partition, or section/place on the server to keep it separate from other sites. This is generally the most economical option for hosting as many people share the overall cost of server maintenance. Shared web hosting can be accomplished in two ways: name-based and IP-based, although some control panels allow a mix of name-based and IP-based on the one server.

Reseller web hosting

Reseller hosting is a form of web hosting wherein the account owner has the ability to use his/her allotted hard drive space and bandwidth to host websites on behalf of third parties. The reseller purchases the host’s services wholesale and then sells them to customers for a profit. A certain portion of hard drive and bandwidth is allocated to the reseller account. The reseller may rent a dedicated server from a hosting company, or resell shared hosting services. In the latter case, the reseller is simply given the permission to sell a certain amount of disk space and bandwidth to his own customers without renting a server from a web hosting company he signed for a reseller account with. Reseller hosting is also an inexpensive way for web hosting entrepreneurs to start a company. Most reseller hosting plans allow resellers to create their own service plans and choose their own pricing structure. In many cases, resellers are able to establish their own branding via customized control panels and name servers.

VPS Hosting

A virtual private server (VPS, also referred to as VPS Hosting) is a method of partitioning a physical server computer into multiple servers such that each has the appearance and capabilities of running on its own dedicated machine. Each virtual server can run its own full-fledged operating system, and each server can be independently rebooted. Virtual private servers bridge the gap between shared web hosting services and dedicated hosting services, giving independence from other customers of the VPS service in software terms but at less cost than a physical dedicated server. As a VPS runs its own copy of its operating system, customers have superuser-level access to that operating system instance, and can install almost any software that runs on the OS. Simply put, a VPS simulates a private server in that you, the site owner, can deploy whatever software you want or need to continue growing an e-biz. This isn’t possible with shared hosting plans which limit you to the software options offered by the hosting company, thus limiting the database, checkout and other software you use.

Dedicated hosting

A dedicated hosting service, dedicated server, or managed hosting service is a type of Internet hosting in which the client leases an entire server not shared with anyone. This is more flexible than shared hosting, as organizations have full control over the server(s), including choice of operating system, hardware, etc. Server administration can usually be provided by the hosting company as an add-on service. In some cases a dedicated server can offer less overhead and a larger return on investment. Dedicated servers are most often housed in data centers, similar to colocation facilities, providing redundant power sources and HVAC systems. In contrast to collocation, the server hardware is owned by the provider and in some cases they will provide support for your operating system or applications.

Managed hosting service

In Managed hosting the user gets his or her own Web server but is not allowed full control over it (root access for Linux/administrator access for Windows); however, they are allowed to manage their data via FTP or other remote management tools. The user is disallowed full control so that the provider can guarantee quality of service by not allowing the user to modify the server or potentially create configuration problems. The user typically does not own the server. The server is leased to the client.

Colocation web hosting

Colocation web hosting is similar to the dedicated web hosting service, but the user owns the colo server; the hosting company provides physical space that the server takes up and takes care of the server. This is the most powerful and expensive type of the web hosting service. In most cases, the colocation provider may provide little to no support directly for their client’s machine, providing only the electrical, Internet access, and storage facilities for the server. In most cases for colo, the client would have his own administrator visit the data center on site to do any hardware upgrades or changes.

Cloud hosting

Cloud hosting is a new type of hosting platform that allows customers powerful, scalable and reliable hosting based on clustered load-balanced servers and utility billing. Removing single-point of failures and allowing customers to pay for only what they use versus what they could use.

Clustered hosting

Clustered hosting is having multiple servers hosting the same content for better resource utilization. Clustered Servers are a perfect solution for high-availability dedicated hosting, or creating a scalable web hosting solution. A cluster may separate web serving from database hosting capability.

Grid hosting

Grid hosting is a form of distributed hosting is where a server cluster acts like a grid and is composed of multiple nodes.

Home server

It is usually a single machine placed in a private residence can be used to host one or more web sites from a usually consumer-grade broadband connection. These can be purpose-built machines or more commonly old PCs. Some ISPs actively attempt to block home servers by disallowing incoming requests to TCP port 80 of the user’s connection and by refusing to provide static IP addresses. A common way to attain a reliable DNS hostname is by creating an account with a dynamic DNS service. A dynamic DNS service will automatically change the IP address that a URL points to when the IP address changes.
